Yoga Beyond the Poses
€47,00
A 4-week live online introduction to yoga philosophy, Yin and embodied practice
Yoga can be so much more than the shapes we make on a mat. It can offer a way to meet everyday life with greater awareness, curiosity and care.
Over four live online Thursday mornings, we’ll explore the foundations of yoga philosophy through conversation, gentle movement and personal experience. Join from your own space, wherever you live. Each week brings a theme to reflect on and a practice you can take home. You’ll discover how ideas from yoga philosophy can become something you feel and live, rather than something you only read about.
Expect a welcoming small group, nourishing Yin Yoga, accessible breathwork, meditation, mudras and space to pause. You do not need to be flexible, know Sanskrit or have studied yoga philosophy before.
A space to slow down and go deeper
Perhaps you already practise yoga and wonder what lies beyond the poses. Perhaps you teach and would love time to reconnect with the foundations of your own practice. Or perhaps you simply want a gentle weekly space to explore attention, intention and the way you move through life.
This course welcomes you as you are. Bring a mat, a comfortable place to sit and space to reflect. It is an invitation to learn and practise at your own pace, with the warmth of a live group.
What we’ll explore
Week 1 — 5 November 2026: Yoga beyond the mat
Meet the eight limbs of yoga and explore the yamas and niyamas: how we relate to others and care for our inner life. Set a personal intention and begin with a grounding Yin practice.
Week 2 — 12 November: A more mindful relationship with your body
Explore asana as an attentive way of inhabiting your body. Practise Yin Yoga, notice the role of sensation and discover how to find a supportive seat for stillness.
Week 3 — 19 November: Breath, mudras and turning inward
Explore gentle pranayama, hand mudras and pratyahara through simple practices that invite you to pause and listen.
Week 4 — 26 November: Meditation and bringing it into daily life
Try a simple concentration practice, experience guided meditation and bring the threads together in a personal practice you can continue at home.
The eight limbs offer a framework for our exploration, without trying to cover every detail in four weeks. We’ll also make room for questions and for what arises in the group.
What a session feels like
Each live gathering weaves together a clear introduction to the week’s theme, time for conversation and reflection, and an embodied practice you can follow from home. Depending on the theme, that might include Yin Yoga, gentle movement, breathwork, mudras, meditation or Yoga Nidra. You’ll leave with a small invitation to explore during the week; there is no homework to get “right.”
Who is this for?
This course is for anyone curious about yoga beyond the physical poses. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced practitioners and yoga teachers looking for space to reconnect with their own practice. All practices are offered with options so you can work with your body as it is today.
This is a personal exploration course, not a yoga teacher certification.
