The fire element in yin yoga

Yin Yoga is connected to a circle of Elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. Different emotions are associated with these elements. These emotions are connected to organs and vice versa. The organs influence the emotions and the elements. In this blog you can read more about the fire element, yin yoga and Chinese medicine.

You can practice Yin Yoga as a tool to create balance between Yin and Yang. On the mat, but also in everyday life. You learn to look at your emotions and flaws in an honest way. The reality of your life.

Organs connected to the fire element

Heart, Small Intestine, San Jiao, Pericardium Meridians

Emotion associated with the fire element

Joy (Happiness, Joy)

The heart is the destination of light and compassion
The place where pure love settles
You live from your Passion
You are a continuous Inspirator
Your Soul speaks full of Love

Living from the heart

The place where your heart is located is the place where you live from your real strength. The destination where you live from joy, but can also experience and feel real sadness. You can really have a heartache when you are intensely sad. But you can also feel your heart flames when you live fully from your potential.

Your heart is an organ that is constantly awake and continues to function fully without rest. With a fitbit you can measure that your heart beats slower in a sleeping state.

Fire element in balance

When your fire element is fully balanced, you will look into the world with sparkling eyes.
Also called “bright eyes“.

Then there is something else that has been proven. Your heart is not capable of getting cancer on its own. It is unable to produce bad cells. “The spirit can’t be broken by bad cells”.

If heart cancer develops (only 1 diagnosis is made each year), it is due to metastases from the lungs or other parts of the body. Sometimes it doesn’t even reach the heart. Then it only gets to the pericardium. The pericardium protects the heart. It is a muscle that keeps the bad / negative energy away from the heart, “the right side of the spirit”.

The heart has the fullest meaning of the body.

It is said that something leaves your body when you die.

Your soul weighs no less than 7 grams.

Small intestine

The Small Intestine meridian is connected to the fire element. The small intestine is no less than 7 meters long and is located on the upper side of the body. Most of the journey that food takes, where all the good substances are separated from the bad nutrients, takes place in the small intestine. The good nutrients are absorbed, the bad nutrients are removed through the large intestine.

The small intestine is connected with all forms of connections. If someone treats you negatively, your small intestine is approached negatively. It will be influenced.

When your fire element is in balance, you experience ‘The Mystical Feeling’.

– Joyce Mol

Living with Passion

Your passion, the fire in you, is the common thread in your life. If you live by this thread, you follow your path. However, you cannot expect to always experience the flaming feeling of fire. It is necessary to experience a slump now and then to be able to follow the common thread again. There will be changes in the thread along the way. We have to learn to accept that, and moving smoothly along with it will not always be possible. However, we can choose to go back to the common thread that generates passion, inspiration and love in us.

So, constantly ask yourself: what is my intention on this earth?

And if you don’t know for a while, that doesn’t matter. That is the moment of Rest (Earth).

Our life has a deeper meaning. We have all come here for the learning journey.

The fire element is connected to attracting your tribe.

The running thread in the elements is as follows:

  • Water feeds wood
  • Fire becomes Earth
  • Metal is in Earth

Disorders that are associated with the heart element are:

  • Depression – fire element
  • Life has no meaning – fire element
  • Loneliness – fire element

The fire element is not in balance

There are problems with the blood vessels and blood circulation, heart disease, cold hands, heartache (heartbreak), constipation, diarrhea.

The small intestine meridian runs across the shoulder. If people have shoulder problems, check that person’s digestion. This applies to both shoulder sides.

Based on this, allergies to lactose and gluten can be looked at:

  • Bread
  • Milk

You soon notice certain physical complaints that something is not right. By keeping different types of food separate from each other in the diet, you learn to recognize which nutrients cause which complaints.

Postures that support and balance the fire element

Heart openers:

  • Anahata
  • Fish
  • Camel
  • Lying twists
  • Cat pulling its tail

The Sun Salutation is the well-known body warmer.
